Body Paint Model Ads and Print Marketing Campaign
We helped our client source body paint models and body paint artist talent for their Body Paint Model Ads and Print Marketing Campaign. The purpose was to highlight their new product line, new branding and continue providing their image of sleek, sexy, and innovative to their clientele. The images were used in Hyper‘s print media, their website and online social media.

The team was comprised of 3 female models and 2 male models plus 1 lead body painter and over the course of the show another dozen body painters or so that assisted. Photographer Michael Soo was the lead photographer. The client makes a series of charging devices for USB products and recently developed a photography product that allows you to turn any DSLR into a wireless DSLR that can communicate and be controlled by an i-device like an iPad, iPhone, iTouch, an Android phone and a computer with wireless internet. For wedding photographers it allows them more control of their existing cameras and allows without spending a lot of additional money as the product retails for $199, the iUSBport camera.
The concept was to take the models and configure them in a way such that, when painted, they look like the devices. Being that our client was going to WPPI, it was only natural to want to shoot the images for the ad while at the show. Each day was devoted to a different product and took the team all day with several hours before the show started for prepping and all the way up unitl close to get the final images. The team held a trial run a few days prior to test out configurations and paint time.
During downtime, when the main models were being painted, the models not in that configuration had some fun on set with simpler designs and poses that ended up making the media as well.
Below are some photos from the WPPI show setup. It helped that the body paint models were trained acrobats. Several work for the Circ du Soleil shows as their regular job.
Their new logo is a simple plus sign so many of the models were painted with the images during the body paint model photoshoot.
The above image is of their macbook batteries and flagship items that range from 60WH to 222WH units.
